“We are watching the developments in Libya very closely,” Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, while explaining Russian’s stance on volatile situation in Libya.
“Commenting on the advancement of Marshal Khalifa Haftar to Tripoli, the Kremlin spokesman said: “Moscow is not participating in this in any way.”
“Without a doubt, we believe that it is essential that any actions must not lead to renewed bloodshed. We also deem it necessary to continue all possible efforts to fully settle the situation through peaceful, political means,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
Meanwhile Libyan meida reports on heavy fighting in Sog Al-Khmies Emsihel region in southern Tripoli between eastern Libya armed groups and western Libya forces as the latter trying to advance on the mountain city of Gharyan.
