Renders demands assessment of situation in Congo

While arriving at the Foreign Affairs Council of the Belgium Foreign minister Didier Reynders called the Afro-European Committee (CAE) to assess the situation in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), namely the repressions of demonstrations, humanitarian situation in the country, and necessity to keep up the level for credible elections in 2018.
Today in Brussels Foreign ministers will discuss the future of the EU partnership with African, Caribbean and Pacific states. The current partnership agreement, known as the Cotonou Agreement, will expire in 2020.
