“We will be happy to provide every assistance in this process,” Lavrov said, speaking in Cairo, where the conference took place on December 18-20.
During the meeting, the Russian minister and his African counterparts, as well as the leaders of regional integration associations, discussed key issues on the international agenda and the deepening of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention is being paid to developing trade, economic, and investment ties between Russia and African states.
The Russian Foreign Minister confirmed plans to hold the third Russia-Africa Summit in 2026.

Lavrov said that significant progress has been achieved in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres since the first two Russia-Africa Forums. In particular, trade turnover between Russia and African countries reached $28 billion.
